Chemical Man Is Curing Cancer

Time for a good story. John Huntsman grew up in a house with cardboard walls. He was poor. However, by 2001 his chemical company, Huntsman Chemical was the largest privately held chemical company in the world. Due to a harsh business climate Huntsman had to go public.

When Mr. Huntsman was shopping banks for financing he had to borrow hundreds of millions of dollars for his chemical company. In the nearly forty years of corporate history Hunstman Chemical had a PERFECT credit rating. Mr. Huntsman was able to secure several hundred million dollars for his business. After he secured that he told his banks that he needed another 100 million dollars. When they asked him why he explained that he had obligations to charity. Most importantly to him was the Huntsman Cancer center in Utah. To make a long story short he approached 87 banks of which only a handful were willing to help him. As of yesterday he paid off the loan.

TV Weather People Need Sedative

I have lived in "snow prone" areas for almost twenty years. I understand that local TV stations need to fill time and that they don't have the best talent pool in small to mid size markets but Sweet Jesus if I see one more local reporter outside with a ruler measuring less than two inches of snow I am gonna freak out. I don't understand how 4-6 inches of snow equals an emergency. These people are out of their minds.

The real crazy thing is that I live in Ohio. I could see if I lived in Florida where a six inch snow would not only be a news story but cause significant problems but as I said this is Ohio.

No big deal just frustrating!

Barry Talks To Muslim World Before Us?

Barry used the opportunity of his first full length interview to grant an interview to Al Arabiya. Al Arabiya is a TV network based in Dubai. By the way many conservative pundits reacted you would think he did something a lot worse than grant an interview.

Even though I wish I didn't have to admit this-I am a conservative. I only say that so that people don't automatically assume that I am defending Barry for some political reason. I am defending Barry because it makes no sense to attack him for this. He said all through the campaign that he would be doing stuff like this.

Conservative pundits surely can find bigger and more consequential reasons to criticize Barry than this. What is the big deal? I applaud Barry for doing something different that MAY work. It cant hurt...the terrorists wont hate us anymore than they already do and this tactic MAY be a positive move and influence many Muslims who are not terrorists.

Two Nuts in Bizarro World

Set your TIVO. At 5pm today Gov. Blagojevich is going to be on The Glenn Beck Show on Fox News . I don't know either men but I feel like I know Beck. I like Beck. I also think he is half spun. Beck is like an uncle you see at family get togethers that is harmless but a bit weird and always half way drunk!!

The funny thing will be:

1. How absolutely CRAZY Blago is. I really don't think he is lying at this point. I think he believes himself. He lives in a bizarro world.

2. How serious Beck takes himself. I don't care who you are-this will be funny!

Ellen Degeneres Has Hot Wife

I must admit that I really enjoy the Ellen show. I feel emasculated after admitting that but I do. She is very funny, warm, likable and has a hot wife...how can you not like that?

Kennedy and Taxes and Maybe a Nanny Too

Mmm...this is just too easy to predict...the Kennedy family is making me look like a genius.

According to the NY Times Gov. Paterson was never close to appointing Kennedy because he didn't think she was well qualified. the NY POST is even jucier. www.nypost.com

Breaking moments ago the Times also reported that Kennedy may have some tax issues, some nanny issues and possibly something hinky going on with her marriage.

Torture...OK? Hell Yes!

It is amazing to me that we are still having a national debate about the legality and morality of torture. I believe there are many situations where you have a moral responsibility to find out information that may save many lives.

I know Barry has said that the United States does not torture and that we will not torture. I believe we do and that we will continue to do so if necessary. Torture is a word that has a broad definition but for my purposes in this article it is simply an escalation of physical methods used during an interrogation. It is very subjective. I would rather not get into the specifics of certain types of torture but I believe we all know what I am talking about.

I will finish off this post in Q and A format:

1. Should torture be commonplace or used frequently? No! Physical methods of interrogation should be used only as necessary and I believe that the "dark methods" should be reserved for situations where lives are in the balance.

2. Should the US torture a US citizen? This article is referring to terrorist folk, but IF a US citizen for example had information that could have prevented the Oklahoma City bombing from happening it wouldn't bother me if the cops were a bit rough.

3. Does torture work? I think so. Use your head. I know if I had a secret I would be more willing to speak if I knew that if I didn't speak I would suffer extreme pain of a physical nature or otherwise. It seemed to have worked on Khalid Sheik Mohammad who is the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks and self proclaimed murderer of the Wall Street Journal's South Asia Bureau Chief Danny Pearl.

4. Is torture moral? I believe in certain case that it is.

I suppose the thing that really irritates me about this subject is when I see someone on TV or read an article that is just a fantasy. We must realize that we are at war with people who will GLADLY give their life in order to cause you and your family suffering. They are sworn enemies of the United States and our way of life. If we must use some harsh techniques occasionally to possibly save American lives or lives of innocent civilians then I say grab the battery cables and some pop corn.

Biden Gets Spanked

Ah, Joe you never let me down. For those of you that didn't witness the press conference yesterday where Joe and Barry swore in the White House senior staff it was great. Joe or as Rush calls him 'plugs" made a comment about how much better his memory is than Chief Justice Roberts. Everyone in the entire room laughed out loud...except Barry. He looked angry. I am sure Joe got a paddling later on...many more to co me I am sure.

Kennedy Not Dead But Out

Well, I was wrong I thought for sure Kennedy would assume the responsibilities of Hillary as the junior Senator from New York. Cant tell for sure why now but I am sure we will. Maybe she finally looked at the pay band?

Did I Mention He Was In The Klan?

Senator Robert C Byrd (Democrat-West Virginia) reportedly had an episode that required him to receive medical care during the luncheon for President Barry minutes after he became the 44th President of the United States.

I found it interesting that when a Senator who happens to be the longest serving in US history passes out at the inaugural luncheon for the very first black American President that one of the many reporters or commentators would happen to mention the little detail that for years the Senator was an active leader in the Klu Klux Klan. Yeah, the real KKK.

My point has nothing to do with Senator Byrd...I believe people can genuinely change. My point has everything to do with all of the reporters that couldn't summon the balls to inform their viewers and listeners of this fact that seams very relevant to me. Go figure.

US AIR FLIGHT 1549 CRASHES IN NEW YORK

Could it be that it took a plane crash to get some good news? Think about it. On a day where more bad financial news is breaking, virgins are selling themselves on the net and then all of a sudden a Airbus A 320 with over 100 people on board goes down in the Hudson river. More terrible news...or maybe not...at this point in time 5:06 pm January 15, 2009 no one perished! WOW! That is a miracle. Just think about it. We should be thankful and remember that miracles still do happen.

Barry Breaks Bread The Right Way (NO LIMBAUGH)

Wouldn't you love to have been a fly on the wall for this dinner? Last night in Chevy Chase Maryland at the home of the one and only George Will (...the one mentioned in Seinfeld) the President elect dined with some conservative all stars. For those of you wanting to pay Mr. Will a visit his address is 9 Grafton Street.

At about 6:30 pm last night President elect Barry dined with such conservative columnists as George Will, Paul Gigot, Charles Krauthammer, David Brooks and possibly Rush Limbaugh. Although Rush's attendance is not yet verified. The President elect left at about 9:30 pm.

This is an incredibly smooth move by Barry. These writers are not going to stop pounding Barry but I am sure that by getting to know these people the president elect will garner some "good will" from them. If the dinner garners nothing Barry has lost nothing. I know a dinner is no big deal but Barry sure is doing all he can to reach out.

This meeting was held off of the record but my sources tell me that Barry had his steak cooked the "right" way.

Bernie Madoff Must Die

Ok well maybe not die but if this case doesn't give you a case of the red butt I don't know what would. This guy is accused of pilfering 50 BILLION dollars from investors! The crazy thing is that he is being allowed to stay at home-even after he was caught.

I cant think of a single piece of reasoning that could possibly make it OK for this guy to be out of jail. Not only did he steal 50 BILLION but he has jets and many ways to escape. Not to mention a lot of people are very angry at him and would like to see him dead before he reaches trial.

I don't understand how people can even begin to act like this is ok. If this guy doesn't get locked up then why are there jails?

Why We Should Help Barry O Bama Part 2

We need to remember that are many crazy countries and free agent terrorists that would like nothing better than to destroy us. That means they would literally like to wipe America off of the map. In fact many of these entities are actively trying to do this as we go through our daily routines.

It matters not to these people if you are a liberal or a conservative. All that matters to them is that you are an American. To them that fact alone is enough to deserve death. Do not fool yourself into thinking that the enemy is another group of Americans with varying political views. The enemy is much more dangerous than that and they don't see our muddy political distinctions.

Barry needs our support as Americans not democrats or republicans.

Al Gore Causes Global Warming

On a day where we see news of countries all over the world wanting to ban large screen plasma TVs because of their negative impact on the environment I thought I would call attention to someone who needs to be locked up in the environmental jail (many of these being built at this very moment.) Al Gore is that man-that criminal.

According to CBS NEWS (see link below) the average google search produces 7 grams of carbon dioxide. That is about the same as boiling a pot of water on the stove but it is done 200 million times per day.

Since we all know that Al Gore invented the internet I think this is enough evidence to try him before our fellow citizens of Mother Earth and lock him up. His hands are bloody and I think it is polar bear blood!

Harry Potter, Xanax and Full Trash Cans

People are crazy sometimes. Life is a stressful endeavor. Do you ever wonder why some people choose to make it harder than it needs to be? What about the kindergarten teacher who takes her job too seriously, or what about the neighbor that constantly throws death glances your way because your trash can was filled "too full." I dont want to forget about the young lady from church who thinks its her mission to free you from the evil that is Harry Potter or the doctor that just wants to get an "early start" and begin your rectal exam a year early becasue it is better safe than sorry. Finally we have all seen the person who gets the wrong change from the idiot at Taco Bell and takes ten minutes to straighten it out-not because they need the change but just becasue it is the right thing to do. To all of those folks I kindly say TAKE A XANAX and just be nice.

Actually we ran into the "boys" yesterday at lunch. They were both really polite and signed an autograph for my son.

Flying High on Caffeine

This is one of the craziest stories I have seen in long time. To make a long story short Starbucks took delivery of a $45 million Gulfstream 550 in December 2008. This was the same time that it was closing stores and deciding if they were going to decrease the match they give their employees for the 401(k) accounts. The ususal suspects are treating Starbucks like criminals for buying a jet. All I have to say is so what. Starbucks can spend their money on anything they want to. By the way...nice jet!

Well I don't know if Doug Heffernins brother Eric Mangini is a genius or not but he sure knows how to land some big dollar jobs! The Cleveland Browns will announce today that the 37 year old Mangini will be their new coach for next year. You have to love this story. After college Mangini was an intern with the Browns public relations office and before that was a ball boy with the team. Ball boy to head coach...pretty good Mangini. Did you even think about Kansas City?

Bon Jovi Bails Out Hillary Clinton

My history with Bon Jovi goes way back. Many of nights were spent chugging cheap liquor crooning along with heart felt ballads that glorified all that I enjoyed. My wife and I actually went to a Bon Jovi concert in Southern California the very first time we went out together-not as a couple-but still it was Bon Jovi. In fact years after that I ran in to his band in Frankfurt Germany and had some beers. I loved the band. How could catchy songs that girls loved and sang at the top of their lungs in unison be a bad thing?

Then Mr. Jovi became a psycho, ungrateful, Ameican hater! Blue collar, man of the people my rump! Bon Jovi has created an empire because of the freedom that America affords him. My issue with him is not that he has signed on to do a gig in New York to help Hillary Clinton pay herself back from all of the money she loaned her campaign-not at all. He can help whomever he wishes. But I just wish he would leave his politics out of his public life. If he hates America so much I am sure the Castro brothers in Cuba have a cabana for him.
