Ok so those who know me know that I love the NFL. People also know that I love Rush Limbaugh. I don't always agree with him but I love him. He is incredibly witty, seems to have a political crystal ball and I am not alone: no radio host even comes close to the ratings of Rush. On a side note I am not sure how Rush pulls those numbers since no one likes him and he is so out of touch with the American public. I am not generally in the habit of defending people in this blog but I must speak now or my head will explode.
In a nutshell Rush Limbaugh is part of an investment group that has expressed interest in buying the St. Louis Rams. Al Sharpton the king of race baiting and divisiveness has sent a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell objecting to this interest. Can I just say that I think the proof is in the pudding as far as what the right thing to do is.
Limbaugh is a legitimate business man who wants to sink money in a town that cant fill seats and has a team that is just as bad as the Chiefs. That hurts to say because I love the Chiefs.
This is just so absurd on the face of it. Lets hope the NFL uses it brain instead of the broken back bone that Sharpton is rallying for. Until people start to say NO to insane actions like that of Sharpton we will all be held captive by political correctness and political correctness of the worst kind:the kind that has NO truth to it at all.
I think Mr. Sharpton should examine his motives. He is not a man that is into healing racial division. In addition he is not even a man who answers his mail. One time my son saw Sharpton in the Adam Sandler movie MR. DEEDS. I wrote to Sharpton at least ten times asking for a picture for my then six year old son. I never received one response. Sharpton is probably too busy to reply. But just for the record I have signed pictures from several Presidents, Senators and various other people who are just as busy as Sharpton. Well I know Sharpton is busy righting racial wrongs...give me a break. Has the whole world gone insane?
the Bald One
I agree 100%. I teach poly sci at a local university. Its hard to understand why Al Sahrpton thinks he knows much about anything
ReplyDeleteI am sure you wouldnt say that if Sharpton was white
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. And a lot of the so called quotes being circulated by the media and online aren't even factual. They can't even source them.
ReplyDeleteCan I just be honest about the above comment? It's stupid.
